Abstract

|
The interest in pharmacological treatment of children is increasing_ these days. Since the mode of metabolism and distribution of the drug becomes similar to that of the adult by the age of 3, drug therapy in children in several disorders such as attention deficit disorder, anxiety disorder, affective disorder, schizophrenic disorder and in the manage
ment of symtoms like aggressiveness and hyperactivity turns out to be very useful accompanied with intensive evaluation.
The current view of the more frequently occuring childhood psychiatric disorder and its pharmacological treatment is-reviewed briefly.
